1991 i came to vienna to live there.

1995-1996 i visited and graduated the school for artistic photography in vienna (friedl kubelka).

2000-2002 studies at the academy of fine arts in vienna

(eva schlegel).

11/2001-02/2002 photography scholarship, new york city

since i got my first camera from my parents at the age of fourteen photography is my companion.

from the beginning i take a lot of selfportraits.

i use my camera like writing a diary. i also write diary. so my photography is often documentary.

i describe my photographic work as "extended selfportrait".

especially i’m interested in people and relationships also in things and surroundings which are really close to me and have relevance for my life.

the meaning and discussion of identity and playing with it, also my being in this world are the basics of my work.

Seit ich meine 1. Kamera mit 14 bekommen habe ist die Fotografie meine konstante Begleiterin.
Von Beginn an ist das Selbstportrait ein zentrales Thema meiner
künstlerischen Arbeit. Fotografieren ist für mich wie Tagebuch schreiben, so ist meine Arbeit oft dokumentarisch. Die Bedeutung und Diskussion von Identität und das Spiel damit, sowie die Beziehung zu mir selbst, zu anderen und zu Dingen die mich beschäftigen und die mir gefallen, steht im Mittelpunkt. Gesellschaftliche Zuordnung und Seins-Konstruktion durch das Geschlecht ist seit meiner Kindheit ein Thema und die Reflexion über soziale sowie kulturelle Identität wichtiger Teil meiner künstlerischen Arbeit. Ich beschreibe meine Arbeit als „erweitertes Selbstportrait“ sowie als „dokumentarische Inszenierung“.
