i describe my photographic work as >extended selfportrait<.

main aspects are: relationships, surroundings, atmosphere, performance, narration and documentation.

also still-lifes have a central part in my work.

biography

born 1969 close to salzburg/austria

my interest in photography started when i got my first camera at the age of fourteen

1991 i came to vienna to live there.

1995-1996 i visited and graduated the school for artistic photography in vienna (run by mrs. friedl kubelka).

2000-2002 i studied at the academy of fine arts in vienna (mrs. eva schlegel).

nov 2001-feb 2002 i was awarded a photography scholarship to new york city by the austrian government.

since i got my first camera from my parents at the age of fourteen photography is my companion.

from the beginning i take a lot of self portraits.

i use my camera like writing a diary. i also write diary. so my photography is often documentary.

especially i’m interested in people and relationships also in things and surroundings which are really close to me and have relevance for my life.

the meaning and discussion of identity and playing with it, also my being in this world are the basics of my work.

and, of course i'm a feminist
